Cadwell Park is a circuit that Andy always looks forward to on any championship calendar, it always provides good racing and with a full grid of riders for the Post Classic 125 class is was set for a good weekend.
An admin error by the organisers saw Andy not start from his entitle grid position of 5th for the first race, instead he had to start from 29th on the grid, this was a major blow early in the weekend. Andy made a good start and set about pulling through the field and manged a 5th place finish at the flag.
A front row start for race two allowed Andy to battle all race for the lead, a tight battle developed with Andy finishing 2 nd by only 0.465 at the finish with the second fastest lap time.
Sunday saw the normal two race format under bright and warm skies. The pace in both races was very high, in fact the lap record would have over three seconds taken off it over the weekend which shows the level in this season field. Both races were tightly contested resulting in two third place finishes for Andy, less than half a second from winning the first and only 0.06 behind second in race two.
It was not the results that Andy and the team had hoped for at Cadwell but with such a competitive field the season looks to be very close all season.
The next round is at Anglesey in July, another positive circuit for Andy.Round Statistics:
