Snetterton circuit in Norfolk was the venue for round 6 of the CRMC Post Classic 125cc Championship. With this being Andy’s local track, he was looking for a strong meeting to close the points gap.
In race one on Saturday Andy had a slight issue with the engine performance on the bike but managed to finish in 4 th place, that was followed up in the afternoon with a 3 rd place finish after the typical race long battle with a number of riders.
The engine problem was diagnosed on Saturday evening ready for race one on Sunday. After a strong start, the normal 125cc racing tactics were coming in to play, Andy used his experience to put himself in front at the critical point and take the win by 0.058 of a second. Race two was again a very hard race, this time Andy came second by only 0.128 of a second.
Overall this was a positive weekend for the championship, in fact the point’s gap was down to just one point going to the last round at Silverstone.Round Statistics:
