Andy has returned from a positive two days in Latina Italy where he rode the Aprilia RSW125 that he will campaign in the 2015 BSB Motostar 125cc championship for the first time!
After meeting the Italian technicians and spending a day in the workshop learning about the bike, Andy was able to take the Aprilia for a few laps of the Sagittario circuit near Latina to become accustomed with the motorcycle.
First impressions of the Aprilia were extremely good and the team now look forward to getting the motorcycle back to the UK to continue working towards the 2015 season.
Andy was accompanied on the trip by David Parman of Timber Stair Manufacturers Ltd who is kindly supplying the motorcycle for next year.
Andy: “The Aprilia is an amazing motorcycle and has a lot of adjustment in all areas to make it suit the UK circuits. The team in Italy are very helpful and I look forward to working with them through out next year to get the very best from the motorcycle and put in a strong challenge for the championship”
Dave Parman: “The initial test in Latina Italy was a great success. Francessco and his team were impeccable hosts and the Aprilia exceed all expectations. During the test Andy settled into a good rhythm with the bike and clearly enjoyed the power delivery the Aprilia gave off the turns. Without doubt the Aprilia is a technically demanding machine but Francessco has put a great package together for us and we can’t wait to get stuck into the hard work at next year’s BSB tests”
